In this lesson, we'll walk you through the process of removing your Tele's control plate, bridge plate, and pickguard. We'll also outline a few things to keep an eye out for and take note of in order to maximize the efficiency of your new pickup install.

WARNING: The facility should be properly ventilated, you should wear safety glasses at all times while installing your pickup. Do not use all lead-based solder. We recommend 60/40 rosin core solder. Please use caution when using a hot iron and make sure all smoke alarms are operational. An unattended soldering iron increases the risk of fire and serious injury.
